Lord help you if you're an introvert working here. They quickly turned service into all the worst parts of a school administration office. Seniors started doing things to other employees that tutors always complained about--evaluations based on things you were told would never happen and gaslighting you after. You were the problem. Constantly comparing you to their favorites, even though most of the favorites had NO idea what they were doing--they were just enthusiastic. One kid had never had a job an entire year in his life and was quickly promoted, despite being a terrible manager, more of a momager. We even had "book study." And if you're like my friends who asked what the hell book study is in a job, picture a crappy book club you are forcibly inducted into because "happy manager who has NO clue how to run a meeting is 'obsessed' with stuff" likes it. And then you have to talk about it. No one in senior management actually knows what they are doing. They make it up as they go along and get snippy with you when you ask a question--then, they get mad at you when you DO ask a question. You will get promoted (too) quickly if you're enthusiastic but it doesn't matter if you're not effective or have no really pedagogy background. Do yourself a favor if you insist on accepting an offer here: ask about total compensation versus base pay. Pssst--they go on a total compensation package, thus you're not really getting a pay bump in most cases... sometimes you're getting a decrease. For example, if they are offering you 50,000, that's total compensation, not pay. It includes your benefits. Your take home even before taxes is likely to be in the 30s.

I had the unfortunate experience of working at Paper for a brief period, and it was nothing short of a nightmare. This constant state of flux severely impacted morale and productivity, leading to a toxic work environment. Immaturity seemed to be a prerequisite for becoming a manager at Paper. The lack of professionalism and emotional intelligence among the managers was baffling. They would often resort to petty office politics, favoritism, and micromanagement, which further eroded trust and respect within the organization. It was like watching a group of high school students trying to run a company, and the consequences were disastrous. Moreover, the company's lack of vision was palpable. There was no clear direction or long-term strategy in place. Decisions were made impulsively, without any consideration for the potential consequences. It was evident that the management lacked the ability to plan for the future and take the necessary steps to ensure the company's success. As an employee, I couldn't help but feel hopeless about the future of Paper. The lack of foresight and proper leadership left me with no confidence in the organization's ability to survive, let alone thrive, in the competitive market. It was clear that the company was heading towards an inevitable downfall, and it was only a matter of time before it would crumble under the weight of its own mismanagement. In conclusion, I cannot express enough how much I would advise against working at Paper. It is a sinking ship, and any association with it will likely lead to disappointment, frustration, and a serious blow to one's professional growth. The poor management, constant firings, immature managers, lack of vision, and absence of a foreseeable future make it a company to steer far away from. Save yourself the trouble and seek opportunities elsewhere, where your skills and talents can be appreciated and nurtured in a conducive and stable environment.
