Pros

I worked for POLARIS Labs LLC in Salt Lake City for several years. Corporate management was always fair, and all four owners I have a great deal of respect for. If you were reliable and a hard worker, it was recognized. The benefits were solid for a growing company. Solid match on 401k. Salt Lake City had a great staff of technicians and sample processors, that made high production high stress days doable. I really enjoyed the crew. All in all, POLARIS was a solid company where I enjoyed the majority of the staff, from the lab techs all the way up to the owners.

Cons

If you don't like production work, don't work at POLARIS, simple as that. Like all production environments, they are constantly looking to increase efficiency without sacrificing quality. At times it can be a tough balance. As a remote facility, there was not in house Human Resources, and sometimes tracking down simple HR info was a bit tedious. At times that could be a bit frustrating. In fairness it had improved by leaps and bounds by my last year there.

Pros

Located in a decent area of Indianapolis

Cons

Nepotism is the number 1 rule at POLARIS. Also you are hired, not trained, then fired and this continues...a revolving door

Pros

I had written a review a while back about this company but Glassdoor took it down. I guess it was too negative. If you like to work in a company with strong Nepotism, then this is the company for you. There are 3 owners. Two owners' wives work there. Don't ever get on their bad side because your days will be quickly numbered. Never question a project that one of the wives wants to do. Their health insurance is good.

Cons

It is a revolving door company. They will quickly fire you for the smallest thing. The pay is not good. They don't mind because there are too many people looking for work. The HR lady told me that they are paying Purdue grads from $10 to $15 an hour because they have no place else to go.
