Pros

Managers are generally helpful and understanding towards their team. Good work-life balance. Good benefits. Free soda. Nice office.

Cons

Even after the recent layoffs, company is still needing to outsource many positions. Sometimes an entire US team is replaced with oversea hires and contractors. The company has made many acquisitions without a clear plan on how to integrate the acquired products and people, leading to fragmented corporate culture. Teams with similar roles could not agreed on a operating procedures and standards. They are afraid of being replaced so do not want to cooperate with each other.

Pros

Products are interesting Most colleagues are nice and open to help You get to travel and work with some top-tier customers Salaries & benefits are above average Good place to start if you want to get into the tech industry There are two divisions at PROS - B2B and Travel. Products in B2B are more technical, hence the skills you will acquire are transferable. If you have some good coding foundation, database knowledge and scripting, you will be fine. Travel products are the exact opposite. Products are not technical at all, are extremely specific to the industry, and the learning curve is very steep. It takes a long time if you do not have some knowledge of pricing in the airline industry. Knowledge is not transferable to other companies/industries, so make sure you are willing to invest your time.

Cons

Onboarding is not perfect, which is expected for any company in this day and age You may end up having more than one manager Organizational hierarchy is very top-down Promotions and career progress depends on visibility of your work at the US office. Make sure your line manager is representing you. In both divisions, there is little work-life balance as it is with any customer-facing role in any company. As someone had posted in an older review, titles don’t really mean anything in the company. Implementation Consultants are expected to be flexible. You will be asked to take on additional responsibilities that are not related to your position.

Pros

Thriving company culture among colleagues Opportunities for significant sales achievements Exciting period of growth post-COVID in the aviation industry

Cons

I joined EveryMundo (EM) in Singapore just before its acquisition by PROS in late 2021. Despite starting during the pandemic when the aviation industry was at a standstill, I managed to close deals with 13 airlines and 1 hotel, generating over $1 million in ARR within a 24-month period. The global sales structure seemed well-organized, with regional Business Development Managers reporting to a Director of Sales in Miami. However, the APAC region operated under a separate Managing Director whose leadership style was authoritarian and inflexible. This MD's approach often conflicted with modern tech company cultures, insisting on joining every sales call citing Asian business hierarchies. The MD's lack of tech industry experience was evident in his management style. There were concerns about time management, with calendars filled with questionable meetings. Double standards were apparent in policies regarding remote work and time off. When I raised concerns about these issues to HR, my direct manager, and company leadership, it unfortunately led to increased scrutiny of my work and ultimately, my abrupt dismissal. It became clear that my direct manager was a close friend of the MD, which complicated the situation. Despite these challenges, I enjoyed working with my colleagues, and my contributions were widely recognized within the company. However, the toxic work environment created by certain leadership figures ultimately overshadowed the positive aspects of the role.

Pros

Great team, flexible vacation, new challenge every day

Cons

Workload can be too much if you don't monitor your allocations. Management understands it, as long as you and your manager are on the same page it should be ok
