Pros

This used to be a great place to work. Not so much now. The only perk left is full remote work for most of us.

Cons

Management is so out of touch with the average employee. Promotions are only because of who you know or who you are related to, not talent and hard work. The raises were already less than inflation. Now employees are being asked to contribute 0.5% to have health insurance while working for a health insurance company. It's like a pay cut staying. We have V upper management pressuring employees to give to the corporate sponsored charity at a time many of us are struggling just to make ends meat.

Pros

Social agenda programming is minimal. Lots of opportunity for improvement. New CEO see's the BS.

Cons

Extremely poor leadership principals. Nearly non-existent governance. Lack of accountability culture. HR is a joke at supporting the "individual contributor." Employees are actually dumbed down if they are too high-performing. Those that can/want to adjust to the culture of non-performance stay, while those that can't or don't want to, move on.

Pros

Solid organization with proven commitment to the community. I am really enjoying the ability to learn and grow with an organization committed to doing the right thing. Internal promotions are frequent as with learning and development opportunities. If you're not thriving in this environment, you're simply not trying.

Cons

I've never worked with such entitled people in my life. I'm not sure if it's the industry or generally rural employee base, but you'd think that they were all accustom to public sector work where you get continual pay increases for not performing.
