Pros

- Great people (who are left) - Flexible PTO

Cons

Leadership is disconnected and misaligned, with poor communication both among executives and to the rest of the organization. Top talent is leaving across all departments, from senior leaders to individual contributors, on what feels like a weekly basis. What’s left is a group of burned-out employees carrying the weight with no clear direction, no recognition, and a constant fear of being next on the chopping block. Reputation used to be a place people were proud to work. Now, it feels like survival mode. There are some attempts being made to turn things around, but the general sentiment is that it may be too little, too late. Morale is at an all-time low, and people are actively looking elsewhere.

Thank you for sharing your candid feedback. We're sorry to hear that your recent experience hasn’t met expectations. Your perspective is important, and we want you to know we’re listening. We understand how difficult it can be when valued colleagues depart, especially when their absence impacts workload. Our intent is not to maintain the status quo or place additional burden on remaining team members, but rather to use these moments as an opportunity to reassess priorities, streamline efforts, and work more efficiently until an appropriate backfill can be assessed. If you’re feeling unsupported, we encourage you to connect with your manager or HRBP, we’re here to help. We recognize that morale, retention, and communication are critical focus areas. While we know there’s room to grow, we remain committed to strengthening leadership alignment, enhancing transparency, and building trust throughout the organization. Thank you again for your honesty and for the continued contributions you make as part of our team.

The Best New Hire Experience

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

The hiring and onboarding experience is one of the best I've experienced in my career. The talent acquisition manager I worked with was amazing. She did a great job representing the company culture, had a clear knowledge of the role and team, and was able to keep the interview process moving quickly. In terms of onboarding, I was able to get up to speed quickly due to friendly and helpful coworkers and was able to start making an impact quickly. Other pros: -Kind and smart coworkers who are willing to help reach common goals. -Options for remote work and/or going into the office in certain locations. -Fun to be at a rapidly growing, fast-moving company where your ideas are valued. -Good benefits, unlimited vacation along with company "recharge days" off to help encourage people to actually take days off. -Good company-wide communication with regular "Alls Hands" calls hosted by our CEO

Cons

The only con I've observed is more general to being at a rapidly growing company- there are elements of project management and process that still need to be built or refined. However, again this is expected and not a bad con to have as many are easily solvable with the right people involved and having too much process can be a bad thing as well.

Pros

Exceptional people and culture - Talented, collaborative, passionate colleagues made this a truly special place to work (up until 2024-2025). Flexible work arrangements - Hybrid model with supportive PTO policies and genuine understanding when life happens. Work life balance was encouraged. Learning opportunities - Strong CS leadership provided mentorship and growth experiences that advanced my skill set significantly. Reasonable perks - Equipment choice, company recharge days, modest lunch allowance.

Cons

Product reliability nightmare - Half-baked releases with inadequate QA created an impossible situation where CSMs were expected to drive adoption of unstable features, causing constant escalations and deteriorating CX, endless damage control, operational chaos, plummeting CSat scores, spiking churn, and ultimately a significant loss of income for CSMs. Operational chaos - Inadequate knowledge transfer from implementation to post-launch, insufficient technical documentation, setting up support & CS teams for failure. Leadership instability and poor transparency - Constant executive turnover, mysterious layoffs with little or no communication about 'reorgs,' creating a culture of fear and uncertainty. Compensation regression - Upsell commission slashed 66%; churn forgiveness policy cancelled; variable comp restructured so heavily in company's favor that one lost customer took away 30% of the CSM's income. Career stagnation - Promotions dragged out for a year with no explanation; supportive managers fired for speaking out to advocate for their employees. Benefits deterioration - Mid-year change to a new health insurance carrier with downgraded coverage caused financial stress and gaps in care; no 401K matching.

Pros

The colleagues in the trenches are talented and supportive.

Cons

The company is in disarray. Recent layoffs were handled poorly, with no clear communication to the broader organization. This was a surprise attack, leaving employees anxious and uncertain about their future. The entire executive leadership team (ELT) has turned over in a short period, with every departure framed as "pursuing other opportunities." It's evident that these statements aren't truthful, and the lack of transparency erodes trust within the organization. Shifting priorities and a lack of cohesive vision make it challenging to deliver value to customers. As a CSM, I frequently had to bridge the gap between broken internal processes and frustrated clients without adequate support from ever changing leadership.

We appreciate both your acknowledgment of the talented and supportive colleagues you worked with and your constructive advice for improvement. Organizational changes and leadership transitions are always difficult, and we regret that these events left you (and potentially others) feeling uncertain. We take your feedback seriously and will continue our strides towards increased transparency and thoughtful communication in navigating such moments. We’re committed to (re)building trust and providing clear direction. Stabilizing our leadership team and improving processes to better support our employees and customers are top priorities. Your advice to openly communicate about challenges and the company’s direction resonates with us, and we will continue taking steps to create a more cohesive vision and consistent messaging. Thank you again for your feedback and your contributions during your time here. We are dedicated to learning from this input to foster an even stronger, more supportive environment for our team. We wish you the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

-Talented, mission-driven colleagues who care deeply about customer outcomes. -Flexible work model with supportive peers who genuinely want to succeed. -Exposure to a fast-moving SaaS environment with recognizable brands and interesting customers.

Cons

-Leadership communication around culture, growth, and inclusion often sounds polished but doesn’t reflect day-to-day reality. The message and the lived experience remain far apart. -HR and senior leadership have been aware of ongoing concerns in Customer Success for some time, but the only visible shift has been turnover. The calmer atmosphere now reflects attrition, not improvement. -The new review and career pathing processes look good on paper but are largely performative, with little real execution or meaningful development behind them -Product reliability and customer experience remain inconsistent, while internal focus leans more on process and perception than on addressing root issues

Thanks for your feedback and recognizing our talent and mission-driven culture. We're proud of the people and customers we get to work with every day. When concerns are raised in any area of our business, we lean in. The voice of our employees is a priority and that’s why we host roundtable discussions, Ask Me Anything sessions with leaders, focus groups, provide coaching to our leaders and employees, and invest in our talent. We understand meaningful change takes time and we remain committed to strengthening our culture, investing in people, and providing opportunities for employees to grow and succeed. With the appointment of our new Chief Revenue Officer, we hope you have already started to see improvements in this area. We have now gone through a second year of our annual review process. We are encouraged by the quality of written reviews and hope that this translated well over into employee conversations. Career pathing represents a significant and ongoing body of work. We will be actively rolling out a few functions over the coming months. Your product reliability and customer experience feedback has been noted and will be shared with the appropriate teams. We genuinely appreciate the thoughtfulness of this review. It helps us ensure enhancements we make are more than performative, aligning with the day-to-day reality of our teams. If you have specific examples or concerns you'd like to raise directly, we encourage you to reach out to your manager, senior leadership, or your HRBP. Thank you for being a part of our amazing team!
