Pros

Most of the people are great.

Cons

Imagine working for a company who has no idea where they’re going, how they’ll get there, or why. Working for Resident for a year, was a year of trying to connect the dots, ease dropping in the office to make sure you knew what was launching (and when it was “probably” going to launch) and trying to keep up with a group of people who didn’t want to talk to one another. The three most important things to make a company thrive are missing: communication, transparency, and gratitude for people who go above and beyond. Resident promotes a culture that (thought they) thrived on changing priorities on almost a daily basis, belittling others publicly on slack, and putting people on a pedestal who didn’t follow process or do things correctly. Employees are undervalued on every team, projects are left incomplete, and timelines are nonexistent, everything is always ASAP. Organization and communication are lacking on every project, or launch, it’s like they think organization isn’t necessary. I haven’t ever been lucky enough to work in such a toxic environment that it brought people together because of it. The blood, sweat and tears actually brought out the good in other coworkers, and I’ll have these friends for life and I am forever thankful for them.

Typical Sales Organization that Oversells to Customers and Employees

Pros

They hired some of the smartest, most brilliant people I have had the pleasure of working with. I learned a lot (mostly from pain and what not to do)

Cons

Boys club culture. Also highly political. Upper management never made decisions or gave direction, but fostered a culture of finger pointing. They pretend to want to empower their employees, but they prefer 'yes' men to soothe their egos. Expectation was to work around the clock, even on holidays. A lot of u suffered tons of health issues here. They were the same with customers as they are with their employees: They did not care. I saw such disregard for humans and honestly. They are definition of do whatever you can to make a sale, even if it means lying to customers. They even pretended that some sales' proceeds went to a charity when it did not. These guys are smart, but if you have any sense of ethics...AVOID working here. They would constantly claim we would have the best performance as a whole and then lay off people in batched to inflate their numbers for investors.

Pros

-pay is good for customer service -ample OT available -work from home

Cons

-company lies to customers repeatedly to the point that all you get are angry, belligerent customers cussing you out all day -they expect you to wear about 6 different hats which results in you being overworked to the point of burning out a few weeks in -upper management has no clue what they're doing & offers no real guidance on how to resolve customer issues so you end up having to lie to customers about everything from order status to refunds -at the time i was there, they refused to hire more people to the point that you had 1 person on a call & 2 chats at the same time. they finally outsourced work to cut costs which just created a bigger mess for the american agents as the foreign workers had next to 0 training. more than half the team quit in the span of 2 months as a result
