Pros
The people I work with are excellent and wonderful. Many of the people in management positions are great, but it really depends on the department. Software or R&D are the best depts. to work for. There is good money to be made in management or sales. Perks include free software. My work schedule is very flexible. There is also an education credit, where the company will pay for a certain amount of tuition each year. Lots of the managers in software and R&D are really excellent people who are coders themselves. They are willing to fight for their employees, never just agreeing with what "THE BOARD" wants.
Cons
A lot of the managers are awful. People get promoted by shoving others out of the way or being in lots of meetings. People who do a lot of good work rarely get promoted, because the major promotion path is into management, and thus out of coding or writing or whatever job it was you were so good at. It's in the company's best interest to keep you underpaid and in positions of usefulness. Some management decisions are completely capricious. Content is probably the worst department to work for; they've consistently run out good people and promoted suck-ups. Content is roughly 50% women, but 80% of those who have been promoted in that dept. have been men.
