Pros

Great if you enjoy tons of overtime, no benefits, low pay, and receiving zero recognition for your time and investment in the company

Cons

This company shows such little respect for the hardworking employees who make the company. I've never worked for more greedy, selfish owners who were more than willing to overwork their own employees for incredibly low pay, zero benefits, and little positive encouragement, while themselves working 20 - 30 hours per week, overpaying themselves six figure incomes, while the business itself didn't substantiate or support that kind of income. It only works to the benefit of the owner if he exploits those beneath him. Just an overall awful, awful place to work. The economy is booming right now. Find a job who values you, offers benefits, has a great culture, and doesn't treat you like a disposable work horse.

Pros

For everything that you read about Servpro Industries, Inc. in Gallatin TN. It's a convenient job for those that live in the surrounding community.

Cons

It is a very controlling organization that speaks about how they care for their employees; but, nothing could be further from the truth. The benefits are terrible, the vacation policy is awful, you have to enter your time like it was the 1960's. Everything revolves around the Owners, absolutely everything. They micro manage to the point that they have YES people. It's a Toxic environment!!!!!!!!! Dysfunctional management and across all departments. HR needs to be replaced, worst I have ever seen!!!!! There is no upward mobility, it's ran as a small company even though they have much larger plans. Takes too long to get anything done. The IS staff is awful, they deliver garbage.

Servpro Industries Response

Thank you for sharing your opinion about SERVPRO Corporate. As the head of HR, in the spirit of transparency, I asked our employees to post their reviews of SERVPRO on Glassdoor. To date, most all reviews have been favorable from our current employees. I respect your opinion but disagree with your comments. I report directly to the CEO who is also one of the owners. Based on my experience, the owners and managers do care about their employees. SERVPRO's business model has earned numerous awards including top franchise and top workplace awards for valid reasons including a great growth/profit track record, advancement opportunities offered to our best employees, and competitive pay, increases and benefits. Regarding specific benefit comments, the time entry system documents hours worked for Affordability Care Act and other compliance reasons, but our system also generates additional "reserve time" vacation time off for salaried employees who work more than 90 hours in a two-week pay period. Many of our hard-working employees earn extra time off, in many cases, have 3-4 weeks of paid time off per year. SERVPRO Corporate does have a conservative culture - it's not for everyone. However, if a candidate is seeking an award-winning, challenging, growth-oriented work environment, financially strong, stable, recession-resistant business model, strong values and, yes, opportunities for advancement, SERVPRO may be right for you. I defend my HR Team 100%. Based on my years of experience in several organizations, my current HR Team is the best, results/service-oriented team I have assembled and directed. The IS/IT Team is led by an award-winning CIO who has delivered quality software and support to our franchise and Corporate communities.

Pros

Company vehicle with gas card, iPhone and iPad Ability to work by yourself and do what you like

Cons

Everything about Servpro is unprofessional They will hire just about anyone, regardless of their past employment. People in positions that don't know what they're doing. They are franchises so environment depends on franchise owners but most owners don't care much about their employers, just as long as they can squeeze every nickel out VERY GREASY/SHADY business... They rob insurance agents. If they know the job is covered they will throw in extra charges because they know they will pay it. The company is seriously a joke. Being a project manager, you'll get lucky to even break even on a job, making a profit was very rare. Absolutely no work/life balance... I worked 7 days a weeks since i started If you have any experience at all, avoid this company... might be a good fit if your are young and have absolutely no experience.
