      Pros

      Great people who truly care about each other and the company. The family still carries on a lot of the traditions J.R. held dear. Even with all the changes that have occurred, I still believe Simplot is a great company and it was a pleasure working there.

      Cons

      With a recent reorganization, there was a huge loss in loyalty to the employees that really made Simplot the successful company they are today. Many knowledgeable and experienced people were let go in exchange for a more outsourced and disposable workforce.

      Simplot used to be a fantastic company to work for.

      Cons

      But then, Mr. Simplot died and the professional management staff is driving everyone out the door with poor leadership, low wages, and uncaring attitude.

      Can't think of anything good to say.

      Cons

      1950s style leadership, top down, command and control. Senior leaders are looking for followers. JR would roll over in his grave if he saw how people are treated. Happy to be gone from the company. The only people who stay are those who don't have a choice.
