Pros

I have been working at Superior Health Plan for several months now and it seems happiness is closely tied to your team. At the top there are two buckets of individuals, those that are exempt employees and those that are non-exempt. It seems many of the necessary, but monotonous tasks are left to non-exempt employees. These individuals are in charge of reaching out to members of our health plans and making sure they are meeting all the necessary requirements. However, for those working here on more of a full-time (exempt) basis there seems to be some high quality teams and leaders. Additionally, I have been fortunate enough to have a manager who is very transparent and has created a team where there are lots of opportunities (one must also realize with this comes increased responsibility). I have been quite satisfied during my time thus far.

Cons

Lack of knowledge in certain subjects by management leaders.

Pros

None. I got fired after 90 days due to "budget".

Cons

They will hire you on through a staffing agency, BEWARE! I left my long-term job with benefits to work for ZERO benefits for the promise of working for Centene after 90 days. I was fired and scammed by both Centene and A-Line Staffing.

Pros

Centene Corp. has decent pay and benefits. Centene Corp. has the right idea; they want all companies under their umbrella to place the member first; unfortunately, that isn't easy to control when you are a huge corporation. Superior in Austin, TX, has to be one of the worst (if not worst) company's in the Centene Corp. They procrastinate, prolong, and deny payments, their number one priority is NOT the member, they manipulate reports to make themselves look good, and they pit mid-management against each other to cause constant chaos.

Cons

Superior HealthPlan is a horrible company to work for; they only advance their friends, many of who are severely unqualified for the job. Executive leadership goes home at 4:30-5:00 pm while Directors and Managers stay behind to get their work done for them. The expectation is for Directors and Managers to work ungodly hours (12-16 hours a day) and be at Executive Leadership beck and call on the weekends. Superior is a horrible, degrading, and demeaning place to work. The turnover is off the charts! DO NOT WORK HERE!!
