Pros

The benefits were the best aspect of the job. The co-workers (non managerial) were helpful and wonderful to work with.

Cons

My immediate Manager was a bully and would never acknowledge my greetings, and was hostile towards me. My direct supervisor was fired on the spot as she told the wrong person she was interviewing for another job who reported her. Another co-worker was let go after complaining about unpaid overtime. The job I was hired for was not really what they wanted me to do. They really wanted people to be signed up into case management which many health plan members did not want to participate in or members would not return calls or letters. This is an unethical company to work for. Go somewhere where your skills will be valued and respected.

Pros

Their stock performs well and the company as a whole is financially stable.

Cons

Horrible middle management. Many managers are protected because they have tenure and are cozy with executive leadership. I got the feeling that my manager wished nothing on me except failure. Manager was extremely passive-aggressive and conniving. As a Superior employee, you need to be aware of the relationships between middle managers who have been there a long time - there is an incestuous, conspiratorial feeling that is pernicious among them. In my life, Superior Health was the only company I have ever worked for that made me feel like a pariah & worthless. I urge anyone who is considering working for them -- DON'T. Life is too short.

Pros

Salaries are competitive in local area. Training is still poor that the trainers do not have real field experience to assist staff with what really happened once training is completed. Benefits are good.

Cons

Higher level leadership has no real idea as to what it takes to work the field based positions. It is all about the numbers and the money to be made. Employees are considered disposable entities which can be readily replaced. They don't follow their own HR policies.
