Pros

There is nothing great about this company, although there are a few good supervisors left few and far in between

Cons

There are no company values, people are constantly trying to cheat the system. When they offer people to go home early to meet SLAs, everyone jumps on it all at once. Customers are rude and obnoxious because they have been transferred multiple times by incompetent fools that Comcast hires to do tier 1 tech support. Many times customers are cold transferred. Comcast didn't earn their #1 in customer dissatisfaction for no reason. By the time the customer gets to us we have to put on the nice face and say lines to help the customer feel better also known as empathy statements. We are graded by offshore QA that hardly know English and then grilled for not meeting QA requirements when they can't comprehend simple English. Advice: Keep looking for a job, I quit better jobs than this.

Pros

You get to work from home. That's it. Period.

Cons

This place is the bottom of the barrel. I've had problems with my legs and I'm wheelchair bound. The opportunity to work from home seemed great. It's not. The employees are treated with disrespect. They keep threatening to fire you if you're a minute late during training. You have to make a lot of changes to your computer. The trainers have no charisma and are obviously reading from a script. What's worse is they treat the class like children and call around asking for people to read from the screen like we're in first grade.

Pros

Work at home so you save money on gas and car maintenance.

Cons

Pay is low. Less than 21K a year. Forget about raises. Taking calls is stressful and taxing. A lot of the customers are technologically retarded and have difficulty following simple instructions. There is also a lot of abuse. Many callers will take out their frustrations on you. As if you had anything to do with comcast policies or procedures. Also the software you use is extremely buggy. Call quality is often horrible. This is a very unpleasant job. It's fine for a short time but long term it will mess with your head and health. If you are the insensitive type and indifferent to other people's emotions then it may not be so bad for you. But if you have any soul or humanity then this is a dystopian nightmare.
