For a relatively small/mid-size company, the culture is far too bureaucratic. The trend in recent years has been to withhold information at the top, which means there is a lot of confusion at the middle and lower levels of the company regarding the overall strategy and direction. Sr. level management is at times paralyzed by a fear of making the wrong decision. A lot of people want to share their opinion and have a seat at the table but no one wants to "own" the decision. The result can be a frustrating working environment where people are very busy trying to ensure everyone has a say but ultimately nothing gets done. Also, the company seems more apt to hiring from the outside then promoting from within.

The Hillsboro location feels a little detached from the management on the east coast. A decision needs to make its way all the way up the chain of command before moving forward which causes lots of delays. That's the price for being part of a large company I guess.

Limited career path; top heavy management structure; management is a bunch of "know-it-alls"; there is zero benefit in speaking up to contribute to making things better. Ideas of staff are not valued - management thinks they have all the answers.

This company will work you like a dog. When you make mistake because you are tire, the will kick your ass and get you fire.

Other areas of the organization are quite siloed and the new CEO has a lot of work to break this down.

The organization does not internalize or appreciate employee feedback. Management is hired externally, with no industry experience, over internal candidates. I've experienced this across several departments.Executive team is extremely top heavy. A rather stagnated environment to spend the majority of your week.
