Pros

Benefits are the best I’ve ever had, people are super nice and helpful

Cons

Call center provides high stress and poor hours, there’s not a lot of room to move up, it’s hard to even move laterally within the line of business. Very hard to find time off and if you need time off it can hurt your metrics which lessens your value to the call center. It is also incredibly hard to get to know any of your peers since you’re constantly on the phones with back to back to back calls and your schedules rarely match up. Also, not much value or recognition towards the staff. Cake days don’t make up for that.

Pros

There are very few pros with VSP, but your vacations will never be denied. The door is always opened and a great place to start an office career. (be careful, they call VSP "Hotel California, very hard to leave once you're in) 401k is fair. Dental is good and vision... come on you own a vision company give a little coverage...1 pair per year. Coverage is very limited to their brand and its subpar at best. Company Cafe's are great. Cake day once a month. Casual environment. Flexible work hours for some departments. EAP and you're going to need it.

Cons

Medical benefits provided "VERY" high deductible. The company contributes $300/$600 per yr to cover employees/family out of pocket expenses and but you pay $4000 deductible per employee and each family member, then your coverage kicks in. Wages are way below what other health companies in the area especially if you take into consideration the medical coverage. If you need the work experience VSP will do the trick but get in and get out as soon as possible.
