      VSP is a 60 year old company that provides consumer charity services, and strongly believes in giving back to the community., As an employee there are promotional and growth opportunities for both individual contributors and management. VSP provides an excellent 401K plan and a robust health benefit package.

      Cons

      The company is growing so fast that it's workforce struggles to keep up. It could do better in offering competitive salaries now that the economy is improving.

      Pros

      People are very nice. Company has side perks such as iphone, lots of business travel optional, and in terms of Sacramento is a major job provider.

      Cons

      The people are complacent. Many people have been in their roles for 20+ years and you hear a lot of push back for innovation and forward thinking. The company likes to re-org instead of fixing its inherent problems. The salary is well below market and for someone that is young and wants to learn and grow this is Not the place. Its safe and secure, but not for those wanting to be ahead of the market and learn new things.
