Pros

Team members support each other. Especially as cuts are deeper and teams are smaller there is more reliance on each other. Pay seems to be fair and benefits are adequate. Newly revamped PTO program is competitive.

Cons

Development, supervision and some support have been deeply cut - especially within the mid-market area, even as new companies are being purchased. Loss of product knowledge and inadequate resources to help those in the trenches have impacted employee ability to deliver quality to our clients. Due to cuts in personnel existing personnel are working longer hours without recognition.

Not a positive place to work

Pros

Work / life balance was good and benefits were OK. Good location with nice offices.

Cons

The reviews on Glassdoor are a very accurate representation of what is going on at Viewpoint. It is not a positive place to work and unless it is your last option I would advise not taking a position at this company. Management is too busy to listen and hear employees concerns. Simple issues turn into major problems because of this. Management often sent mixed messages about what was expected of employees and projects resulting in missed deadlines and confusion. I view Viewpoint at a scar on my resume and regret ever accepting a position with them.

Pros

Benefits and pay were very reasonable.

Cons

The accountants for Bain Capital believe that all employees are, essentially, robots who can be programmed to work at 60+% capacity with no mistakes, breaks, or system failures. The bonus plan is meant to encourage you to sacrifice your evenings and weekends, as evidenced by their refusal to remove PTO days from their productivity calculations; their refusal to credit manager directed non billable time against your productivity; their refusal to credit your travel time if you get delayed. The environment is unsustainable for anyone who is not driven by greed and willing to sacrifice for Bain Capital's profit margin. The software is antiquated and difficult for both users and technicians/developers.
