Pros

While I worked there they appeared to be very employee focused, which compensated for the lower than average compensation.

Cons

I left Waystar due to a vague RTO plan, lower than average compensation, and limited opportunities to work with new technology. I thought I left on good terms, having had nothing but glowing reviews throughout my employment and receiving a strong counter-offer when they tried to retain me. As part of my exit interview I stated that my primary reason for leaving was compensation, but had they paid me what they counter offered I never would have even shopped around. I suggested they pay people what they are worth up front instead of waiting until they are leaving if they want to retain them. A year and a half later I was approached by a recruiter for the same type of role at Waystar at a more competitive salary and considered returning. The recruiter took my information to Waystar and was told that they couldn't even consider me. On paper, I'm the perfect candidate since I had done exactly this role just recently. Familiar with the tech stack, culture, everything. No onboarding necessary. But they wouldn't even talk to who they previously considered a "strong performer". Apparently blacklisted for giving constructive criticism about management. That place is a shell of what it used to be.

Pros

Thorough training, CEO is inspirational, great culture. You can make very good money there is you have the right opportunities.

Cons

Base pay is not the greatest, but average. Inernal lines of dmarcation are that clearly defined so it can lead to wasted time in trying to create sales opportunities. Also, formal training is great, but needs to include more OJT and practical training. There is a heavy emphasis on KPIs and metrics. If you're a sales person who likes to go out and meet clients this may not be a good fit.
