Pros

Waystar does a great job of being transparent with regards to what is happening within the company. They pay well and offer great incentives and rewards. Not only is it a great place to grow your career but it also has great people. I enjoy coming to work every day. If you are looking to get into healthcare and technology, Waystar is the place to get started and grow your career.

Cons

With any company that has rapid growth comes great opportunities, but also growing pains. That is what makes it so fun and challenging. We are blazing the trail!

Pros

2 great companies before the merger. Work from home opportunities for some.

Cons

New Waystar has completely destroyed 2 great companies. Leadership is horrible, nepotism is the blatant. HR is a joke here, truly unprofessional and unethical. Waystar has decided to remove legacy employees by firing them for performance to save on severance packages. compensation is well below market average. No advancement opportunity, Promises made at merger that all would be rewarded for their hard work, but instead legacy employees are systematically fired or left due to dysfunctional environment.

Thank you for sharing your opinion. Combing two top performing companies provides many opportunities and certainly temporary challenges for us to work through. We work hard every day to incorporate the best of both companies and provide product solutions our clients can benefit from. Waystar strives to be an award-winning company and in doing so, have imparted on a journey to make it happen. Company-wide cultural initiatives are under way to further engage, develop and reward our team members. We wish you the best of luck in your next career opportunity.

Great Company Prior to Merger

Pros

Great culture and laid back atmosphere prior to merger. People were promoted based on their hard work and dedication to the company but not since the merger. People are now promoted via nepotism and who they know. The department I was in let people go who had been in the industry for many years and hired replacement who did not know a single thing about the healthcare industry. Leadership puts on a good show for the new hires but does not care one bit about their employees, especially legacy employees. Learned a lot about the industry.

Cons

After the merger there was a lot of vague talk about 'opportunities' for legacy employees that never happened. Leadership does not care about employees, especially lower level ones. Leadership put in place people who do not know what they are doing. They have no prior experience in the industry or even in the department they work in. They are hiring the wrong people to be leaders and it will definitely have a negative effect on the company. Turnover is insanely high. Below market values in all roles. Can double your salary by just leaving. Nepotism - rules only apply to some.

I want you to know that we are driven by our mission, purpose and values and strive to provide a meaningful work experience for everyone. Our recent growth and organizational transformation were in service of our clients needs. Part of our strategic transformation includes a more performance focused culture.
