Used to be a Good place to work but not anymore

Pros

There is lots of work and management is anxious to get work completed. The business outlook looks good as they are starting to get into more high-value products.

Cons

New senior management has come in and made West a really bad place to work. IT workers in the corporate office are leaving because they are now getting treated like numbers instead of valued employees. IT hiring is favored in India. This all happened after they hired a new "CIO" - in less than one year he has chased out most of the good staff.

Thank you for taking the time to submit a review. We’re sorry to hear about your perception of our Digital and Transformation (D&T) leadership team at West. You are correct in that there have been significant changes within our D&T leadership team, including the appointment of our new Sr. VP and Chief Digital & Transformation Officer in February 2018. Under his leadership, we have seen a growth in our employee base as well as new skills such as Software Engineers and SAP Solution Architects, enabling us to reduce reliance on consultants and invest in our own population. Also, under his leadership, we have made tremendous progress including the launch of our e-commerce site enabling our customers to order direct from West online. And we have recently opened a Digital Technology Center in India to help build a strong global D&T team which will allow us to augment our US and Europe teams and ensure 24/7 access to West sites worldwide. Change can be challenging, but it is necessary for continued growth and for our journey of digital transformation, which will enable a better digital user experience for our team members, our customers, and ultimately the patients who use our products. Most people were nice to work with. I was luck to have worked for one of the best managers

Cons

A certain senior leader makes decisions based on who he likes or more so who he dislikes. A disgusting person who has no right to past judgement on someone he hardly knows without giving the chance to cultivate growth. Would rather throw away talent he knows nothing about then learn more about that persons skillsets.

Cons

Sr. Leadership only cares about themselves. The rules do not apply to them but they apply to you. They are so out of touch with the employee population and continue to think the employees are the problem not themselves. Favoritism is all that matters, leaders are two-faced, they ask for feedback and then get mad at you for your feedback. Sr leaders tell everyone how busy they are all the time and how they have no time to excuse their inability to pay attention to anything.
