Pros

Good spot to park yourself for a low pressure, low expectation stint to collect a paycheck.

Cons

- Have had a new Sales team in place functioning for 20+ months with no comp plan or commission structure. - Senior Leadership is elitist, condescending, and often insulting - Not open to new ideas. - Not open to new tools (most work is done in series of excel docs) - No room to grow unless you have been with the company for a decade plus - Pays below market value for IC's and Managers - Complicated and baffling reporting structure that makes no sense - CEO is involved in every decision made at the company (when I say "every" I mean "EVERY"), even down to lead assignment to sales reps. - Provides only state mandated paid leave options in the Bay Area while many other companies lead the nation in flexibility and options - Inflexible and slow moving -Purposefully over hires for positions with the expectation that low quality of workpalce and low pay will cause some to quit.

Pros

eGain's Knowledge Management product is very good.

Cons

Horrible CEO and top level management drives a corporate culture that favors nepotism and creates a toxic environment. CEO is not open to any ideas that aren't his, and thus the company has flat/declining sales in a growing market.

Pros

Some of the co-workers are friendly.

Cons

Management is horrible. They are always asking for extra work, even outside of your normal work hours. They will often throw you on projects last minute and expect you to finish with limited resources, an extremely buggy product and being blamed for most of the shortcomings of the product. Most of these projects end up being band-aids to fix key issues that should have been addressed a long time ago. They go to all extents to cover their tracks on their bad decisions and even force you to go in gray areas of legality in some items. At the end of the day. Instead of having your back, you are just thrown under the bus. When it comes to compensation, they will use the lamest excuse to downplay your performance. In an overview of the market, this company has the lowest compensation possible.
