Best place to work in Chico

Pros

As far as software jobs go in Chico, Build.com is the best. You have a lot of freedom in what you work on. There's a lot of experienced developers around you as well.

Cons

Some of the hires and positions filled weren't my favorite, but that's just a detail. Other departments are a bit cliquey, as well as upper management... But that's how corporations often operate.

Pros

Pay and benefits are great. Lots of discounts around town. Fun place to work. Flexible with schedules. The sky is the limit when it comes to opportunity.

Cons

To really get ahead, you have to be willing to invest more than 40 hours a week, sometimes a lot more. Lots of information to take in about products and procedures which can be overwhelming. Training could be better for new hires.

Changes happen very fast, hard to get ahead unless you know the right people or are friends with them.
