      Political hotbed of egos

      Pros

      I was able to build a very successful program and I loved working with my team.

      Cons

      Horrible boss who did NOTHING but parade her big ego and was despised by her boss, but because of politics was allowed to languish. I on the other hand, after nearly a decade of dedication and contributions -- including earning the organization awards and stellar reviews -- unceremoniously had my position "eliminated," under the guise of "budget." That was BS and other factors like age and ego were involved. I've landed fine, but I will never forgive the SVP who allowed that to happen, when she knew better -- who was really doing the work. Don't give too much if you work there, because you're vulnerable to whims and politics. It was seriously one of the most politically tense work environments ever encountered in nearly three decades of my career.

      Great vision for the future of healthcare but severe lack of execution, leadership and diversity

      Pros

      Good benefits, nice facilities. Great place to work if you are a white male. Not a good place if you are a woman or a person of color. On the surface encourages innovation and diversity but all decision making is concentrated with a few senior management team members who are out of touch.

      Cons

      A very white male dominated leadership team and culture. Cambia will not be able to serve consumers or fulfill their vision unless the executive team learns how to lead and allows for diversity of gender, ethnicity and thought. There are too many in roles of authority who are allowed to disrespect or undermine individuals with differing perspectives, background and gender.

      Not a great company to work for as a SWE

      Pros

      Very laid back, you can coast your way without much effort and very little need for initiative.

      Cons

      Treatment of employees is deplorable, cost of healthcare is astronomical given the fact it's an insurance company. Company treats SWEs like factory workers
