Pros
- You are given a chance to prove yourself as an employee to management - Micro managing does not occur - perform your work and continue to expand your knowledge of the business and you will succeed - Learning different platforms and programs may not be for everyone but to some they are easily grasped (ask questions and you will receive help - do not pretend as if you know something - this will result in more work for everyone else) - The managers door is always open and the COO knows everyones name and greets them every morning - There are supervisors who really listen and allow you to voice your opinion - Managers/Supervisors understand family emergencies - Work is not overwhelming - be organized and priortize your work well and you will succeed - Many employees are a pleasure to work with - Once you establish a relationship with merchants/third parties/coworkers from different locations, they will depend on you and trust in you - This is a 24 hour business - the day hours are great - it all depends what an employee is looking for but there are three shifts - day, afternoon and night - Employees are required to work holidays around peak season (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve) but you will receive holiday pay - Casual attire is allowed
Cons
- Communication needs to improve within the departments and within each team - Favoritism needs to stop - There are employees who perform minimum work and get away with it whereas other employees who work ten times harder and come in on their days off are not even recognized for employee of the month - The training has been improved but employees personalize their own way of doing their work (for example: the lack of professional etiquette in composing emails) - Some people will attempt to sink you if you perform a mistake - The connectivity issues and IT issues in general hardly improve - Foul language/profanity is common in regular conversations between co-workes which is distracting and not professional - Some employees have been hired due to someone knowing them but they are not qualified for the job and tend to create more work for other employees
