Pros

Extremely easy job. IF you can't do this job, there isn't a job you could do.

Cons

The management in this building reminds me of the stereotypical "in crowd" in a generic television high school. Get in with them, and your career here will soar. Don't, and be prepared to do the same thing for as long as you are here. I watched someone with 3 years experience here get promoted in a manner that made them directly in charge of someone with 12 years of experience. Additionally, management has been fighting the high turnover rate since at least 2010, but that is a problem with an obvious answer, and they pretend they can't see it. All of the ridiculous, childish, and downright patronizing "fun" activities like theme days and pizza parties and paper awards make one feel as if they have returned to their high school days, which pairs with my aforementioned description of the management staff rather well. Also, Avaya is the most aggravating phone system I have had the displeasure of using.

Pros

I couldn't find any pros while working for Express Scripts.

Cons

If you don't mind be treated like a drone, a beast-of-burden, a cog and above all, a nobody then Express Scripts is for you! I mean, they'll use jargon such as "collaboration", "mutual respect" to (or try) convey a environment which foster's personal growth and opportunities, but in reality, they're just empty, hollow trite sentiments which gives illusion of those ideals which they purport to live up to. At Express Scripts, the way that you move up is not by what you know it's by who you know. Favoritism and incompetence is rife with no accountability and A typical day consist of you utilizing an archaic, inefficient interface taking call after call from disgruntled patients, doctor's offices and pharmacies who speak to you in a perfunctory manner to the point you were less than human and that's from the external clients! The internal clients, your peers (CphT, RPh's and nurses) were even WORSE, and this, all the while you're supposed to have a pleasant disposition at ALL times. There's attendance policy, but it's subjective, PTO is ungenerous and it literally takes an act of Congress to get any time off. Express Scripts is a surly, toxic nasty place and if you value your dignity and sanity then you really need to avoid THIS company, at all cost!
