My district manager neglected my store. I rarely received DM visits, and when I did... he would pick me apart. There were lots of inconsistencies with the communication we would receive on the store level. The RD would give different directives than our DM, and it just became confusing. There are never enough store hours to hand out, especially during holidays. Once I hit the SM level, there was no where to go. I didn't want to wait around 10+ years only to eventually make 44k a year and be stuck. You have to play politics to move up to an area manager, or DM.
