Pros

Flexible schedules are very easy to obtain. Helping people can be extremely rewarding and the client relationships formed are favorable for the most part.

Cons

Block has too many retail locations to be adequately supported by its customer base. Fees have been increased accordingly to support the numerous bricks and mortar locations opened in the last five years.

Pros

Flexible seasonal job, opportunities for learning are available, learned to use tax software and there were comfortable chairs. Internet was unblocked.

Cons

I felt that many senior tax preparers were very unprofessional and low class. They often went for smoke breaks and took 15 minutes to do so every hour. On the other hand, I have to wait eagerly for a mere 30 minute lunch break. They smelled of smoke and looked unkempt. Many top management procedures were very unorganized and unefficient, which made me feel ashamed to be working for such a corporation.
