Pros

* Easy going work environment with competitive pay and benefits. * Co-workers are friendly. * Development can work from home at least 50% of the time.

Cons

* Starting Jan 15th 2015, as a condition of continued employment, all associates are required to have their taxes done by HRB. They are also now required to have and use HRBs emerald pre-paid debit card. * Very little accountability; meaning everything is someone else's problem.

Pros

The District Operations Coordinator position has the potential to be a great job IF you have training, better pay, the support of management and district managers and admins. If you don't they will make your life a living hell. Initially interviewing they come across like most companies....When I was interviewed by the 4 person panel all appered to be preoccupied. In hind sight it was a huge red flag.

Cons

The culture is horrible at this company. The working conditions are sub standard - cheap sitting chairs, they expect the employees to switch to the cleaning crew (toilets, trash, windows etc.) There is no training. Yet the expect you to navigate a bunch of systems. None of the systems work 100%. There seems to be a bunch of work arounds to get anything done. There are way too many changes that happen simultaneously. Certain district managers are very unprofessional, demeaning, and yell at office leaders openly at team meetings, they cheat HRB by doing things there not supposed to. They hire family as contractors. I've never worked at a company that is flat out unprofessional on basic levels - like talking to associates. They pay taxs pro's an hourly pay (ex: $12.00 p/hr) but if they go to a meeting they are given whats called a labor code for a meeting at a lower rate and a different rate for making bank deposits. Isn't this illegal? The amount of work they expect you to do for such low pay is rediculous! Not to mention a 10 week unpaid furlogh and horrible medical coverage. The tax pro's are the nicest people in the company. Only the popular associates are given accolades.
