They Lie A Lot

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

Pays for other state licenses, can advance in job but will be overworked on salary

Cons

They only pay $10 for ms/mapd $2 for PDP but give you the run around during interview process. They claim job security but WILL for you during slow season if they don't like your sales or performance with no heads up or write ups just laid off Supervisors know nothing and Constanly have to "get back to you on that" No residuals, they cheat you out of sales and then block log ins so you can't even count your sales to double check Lied about Merritt based raises Tell you to read the application and will be fine then fail you on QA for things they want you to say but aren't in the app you're just expected to remember it. You have to read from like 7 scripts even during the app and they're all in different format

Pros

After putting in close to three years at HPOne, I did feel they are a good company. They do generate revenue, have contracts with carriers, put people to work, provide opportunities for advancing job skills outside of just being a call center phone answering person. You don't have to worry about job security when the job market is good. You do get health insurance, 401k, and PTO and the people we're very nice. Over three years, I was able to lead the stack rankings on my sales campaign, move over to the training and development department, help with training and developing new hire agents. I also worked as a seasonal supervisor for a customer service department and participated in two large scale projects that spanned multiple months and a corporate acquisition training project for two months. All very positive experiences in that area.

Cons

Now with the business model being seasonal (and it's like that at every Medicare company), you have a peak season, and ROY (rest of year). They ramp up heavily for AEP/OEP, then ramp down. High preforming employees stay and get to enjoy a lighter work load, and those who just maybe were content with the $19hr pay, and didn't sell a lot. They were moved to some outbound customer service program where they make 100+ dials a day and ramps employees down. If you get promoted to a supervisor or trainer, its usually a 3-6 month long contract or longer. However, once it's up and it just randomly ends, you get thrown back to your original sales campaign where it's almost impossible to re-gain where you once left. There was no real room for company growth, like being a successful sales agent, you would normally become a trainer, or a supervisor, then to a sales manager and or director. Well the folks in those roles aren't going anywhere and once you get to a sales supervisor position you are basically stuck. There are zero opportunities to grow from there, internally anyways. Now, I'm sure people at the top in the C Suite and a few positions down are making good money, but it does not translate for your sales agents or supervisors who are basically stuck at $45,000 on average for agents, and supervisors about $52,000 on average. Perfect job for those new to sales, or at the end of your career needing to add to that 401k or SS benefits before retirement. Peak earning years? There's more money to be made out there.

Business Outlook

Pros

-Work from home (that’s it)

Cons

-Low pay that may change days before pay out with excuses of other sales manager not hitting goal -0 chance of promotion unless you know someone and no interviews internally only no -Will switch your job title after getting in the door and use the business needs curtain -Unorganized and reactive upper management. No proactive stance and will constantly change to your detriment. -HR does not protect you and will be slow responding with no resolution -Burn and turn agents no interest in developing. Call center and not agent focused. -Director of Sales are inexperienced and keep ratings of performance to themselves and will never identify their math. -Ideals and input is not welcomed and leaders run on emotion and not logic -Everyone is unhappy and they don’t use surveys to better company. -Will drag their feet on appointment releases (2 weeks with daily inquiries)
