Supportive, cheerful community

Pros

Very supportive of doctors. Inclusive community that is very accepting of ALL types of diversity (LGBTQ+), neurodiverse, etc. Excellent compensation packages

Cons

Nothing terrible. There's the minor things that come with any buisness today (i.e. lots of tech, everything is over email, which is annoying when you just want to pick up a phone and call someone). I might just be an old fuddy duddy. Probably not an issue for most of the younger generations. I will say that the put in extra effort to help the older generations with learing the software, etc.

Pros

You get to work with animals every day. Learn different things about animal behavior

Cons

It’s a click, favoritism plays out here In all aspects, you have one of the higher ups that was the head of a cookie company. You send him your concerns and he brushes it off. They say they care about their employees but that’s far from the truth. Another employee was just promoted to a corporate promotion. They would have daily break downs, throw shampoo bottles, stress dogs out and basically not care. Very hard to watch and a main reason for leaving. The fact that they promoted someone like this to teach others is disgusting. Low pay, terrible benefits, acts like an MLM company trying to sell daycare packages to clientele. Benefits suck. The discount pet care is not that, you end up paying every paycheck on taxed amounts.

Good company - Poor CEO

Pros

Clinical staff are very caring and conscientious and devoted to providing excellent care to pets and their pet families.

Cons

CEO is narcissistic. Within less than a year of his arrival, 2 of the 3 original founders of the company left and many others from the support center have been let go or forced out. If you disagree with any of his decisions or ideals your are marked and most likely your days will be numbered. When I was there, many individuals would not contribute during weekly staff calls for fear of retaliation. It was always the same group of insiders that would contribute and they would praise this guy. Tough way to run a company where they tell you we are all family. If your position is not directly involved in revenue generating your position is considered expendable if he thinks he can be replace with someone less experience and at a lower salary. If you consider working hear in a support center position, be aware that all your hard work will not stop you from getting replaced at his whim.
