Pros

Treated as an individual, interesting problems to solve, feedback is appreciated and acted upon by management, food/barista/yoga/social committee aka... fun, smart people, diverse team. Founders are motivated & intelligent, the analysts' Director is experienced and is a leader. Each day is not the same as the day before.

Cons

Fast growing company, which can be challenging to keep up with (pro and con); you must be ok with a changing environment.

A Company That Cares

Pros

I have been working here for over 4 years and have seen this company grow from 6 people to 60 people. I was initially attracted to this company by the mission and the philosophy of its founders. Every day I feel like what we do matters, but mission alone can't sustain happiness in absence of other factors. What has wound up impressing me most is the amount of careful consideration and thought that goes into every decision (from the brand of coffee we use to high level contract negotiations). Nothing is done capriciously or in a reactionary way. Employee happiness is a key factor when making any kind of policy decision. In addition to great perks, a beautiful office, and an on-site barista providing free beverages every morning (!), LegitScript also encourages employee input on job duties and career trajectory. But the biggest pro, by far, is the sense that your bosses actually care about you as an individual, separate from the work you provide. I had to be out for an extended period for multiple surgeries and was never made to feel any pressure to return or to check in while recovering. in fact, I was given a basket full of goodies to aid my recovery and keep me occupied (in a fun way) while I was on bedrest. I have never had such a supportive and caring management team. For candidates looking for a long-term position with a growing company that really appreciates work/life balance, this is a fantastic fit.

Cons

The learning curve is steep. It requires a substantial investment from both the employee and from the company. This can be daunting for some people, and getting promoted will take time and effort. Additionally, we are busy - really busy! This means the work is fast paced and that you don't have a lot of downtime on an given day. I personally love busy days because they tend to fly by, but some folks may not appreciate a fast pace. If you are looking for a temporary position, expect to move up the ranks very quickly, or are expecting a lot of down time, this will not be the right match for you.
