Pros

I have been with LegitScript for a few years, and it's been a great place to be and work. The work that we do is hard, but it's interesting and rewarding with continuous learning and engagement. There is space for advancement and trying new roles. The work is fast-paced, and there is no space for sluggishness, which may not be liked by some people. The work process is not always smooth or predictable, but this is compensated by support and help from team members and the management. People who work here is another great part of LegitScript - they are intelligent, interesting, curious, supportive, unique and great to be around and work with. The management truly cares about their employees and takes their feedback seriously.

Cons

Since the work at LegitScript is very specific, the initial training period may be somewhat steep and challenging, however the process has become a lot more smooth and supportive since the time I started working here. Some people may feel the pressure to move to a new role and do something new/different vs staying in their current position - this process may be natural for many people, who want to keep moving up and constantly try something different. However it's a feeling of pressure for those who just want to continue working at their current position, learn more and do what they are good at. With that said, I need to mention that LegitScript is still a quickly-growing company, and continuous and rapid changes is something you should be able to accept and embrace.

I was baited and switched into a job. The job for which I interviewed and was hired was NOT the job I was given. My onboarding was 3 and a half weeks alone in a corner with a laptop and ZERO direction. I was hired as a data analyst and I was never once given an analysis assignment. I was instead given over 3,000 websites to manually review one at a time. The company and manager had no idea of what their needs were when hiring. They should have been looking for a team of entry level unskilled workers. I turned down a Data Science role at Google because this company seemed "cool." Don't be fooled like I was. Keep searching right on past this sham operation.

I'm very sorry that your experience with the company was poor and I will do my best to understand the situation further and learn from any mistakes that might have been made. I agree with your comment on investing in onboarding and that is something we are actively addressing. We have recently hired a new Director of Talent & Culture and are hiring a new Learning & Development Manager and part of their roles will be to help us create a new and improved company-wide onboarding process.

I'm a newer employee but so far I have found a great work-life balance, strong mentoring and growth opportunities, nice work perks, and caring company culture.

Cons

Work scope and direction is often changing, you need to always be on top of things.

With our accelerated growth, there definitely will be new opportunities constantly emerging and I hope to bring a thoughtful approach to our strategic planning/direction so that we have more continuity in our efforts.
