Pros

PROS have the best helpdesk team. The team is staffed by high school interns and they do an excellent job at resolving issues.

Cons

This company has no shortage of nepotism and cronyism. Just recently the CEO hired his brother to fill the role of CTO. And this is not a one of incident, across the organization there are many examples of conflicts of interest when it comes to hiring decisions and promotions. In addition to the nepotism and cronyism, there are extreme skill gaps within leadership across the organization because many people within leadership positions have not obtained their positions based on merit. This organization also does not promote transparency in upward mobilization or general professional growth. In short, candidates should beware that PROS do not compensate a fair market wage, there are little to no opportunities for advancement and the average worker’s day is almost completely consumed by "managing-up".

Pros

The individual contributors have great teamwork, team spirit, and willingness to help. Great culture at the mid to lower levels.

Cons

All decisions are held at the executive level and poor communication outward. Executives huddle and then decide.

Pros

There were a lot of great things before they started taking them away. Now I would really just say that the people are what makes this place great. Everyone you work with will happily help you if you had any questions or needed help. I always asked questions and they would rather help and you get better than just letting you crash and burn. People in the trenches lookout for each other.

Cons

First they have taken away 100% remote work for the most part. Especially if you live in Houston. They are very restrictive of your time off now, when it's advertised as unlimited. (Before it was very relaxed, not anymore). Plus with 2 major layoff waves in the past 9 months, your job does not seem secure whatsoever and leaves everyone on edge. For good reason because they are still laying people off due to "performance" issues. In my opinion, the product itself is outdated and cumbersome for an average end user to use. It does help, but Pros needs update their products usability to stay competitive in this market. In this role, the opportunities are almost unreachable in a sensible timeframe. Add a below market salary to that and it leaves very frustrated workers on the lookout for better, high paying roles outside the company. They have "metrics" now to help you get promotions, but they have no real way to quantify any of it. Promotions are random if they have the budget. You gain a lot of valuable experience and the company just doesn't value that as they should.
