Not what it once was

Pros

- Some of the people are great to work with - Decent benefits packages - Great new office location

Cons

- Strategy and management is lacking, we seem to change direction of some large part of the working structure every 12 months. A lot of them are rarely thought out more than a few months ahead. So get used to constantly changing reporting lines - Pay is not particularly competitive as much as they tout it - Work Life Balance is a secondary, far from rare to see people clock in 50+ hour weeks, I have seen time sheets on multiple occasions come in at 80-90 hours - There is definitely a political mid management, that loves to say it isn't - Currently in lots of cost cutting exercises to attempt to become profitable again after many years of not being

Management Seem Lost

Pros

Great employee benefits, exceptional DEI programs, camaraderie strong among employees, flexible WFH policy and competitive pay package.

Cons

In 2022, management from top down seems agitated, impulsive and not focused on long-term strategies. Knowledge and relationships sacrificed to improve stock price. Profess to be employee focused though latest round of lay-offs proves that they are only interested in Wall Street focus. Very much a boys club at the executive leadership level.

Pros

Company is well-positioned in its product segments and doing well with analysts and customers. We just need to continue to execute to support our growth objectives. I really like my colleagues (at all levels). Great camaraderie, support, smart, hard-working.

Cons

Wish the pay and benefits were better.

Pros

There were a lot of great things before they started taking them away. Now I would really just say that the people are what makes this place great. Everyone you work with will happily help you if you had any questions or needed help. I always asked questions and they would rather help and you get better than just letting you crash and burn. People in the trenches lookout for each other.

Cons

First they have taken away 100% remote work for the most part. Especially if you live in Houston. They are very restrictive of your time off now, when it's advertised as unlimited. (Before it was very relaxed, not anymore). Plus with 2 major layoff waves in the past 9 months, your job does not seem secure whatsoever and leaves everyone on edge. For good reason because they are still laying people off due to "performance" issues. In my opinion, the product itself is outdated and cumbersome for an average end user to use. It does help, but Pros needs update their products usability to stay competitive in this market. In this role, the opportunities are almost unreachable in a sensible timeframe. Add a below market salary to that and it leaves very frustrated workers on the lookout for better, high paying roles outside the company. They have "metrics" now to help you get promotions, but they have no real way to quantify any of it. Promotions are random if they have the budget. You gain a lot of valuable experience and the company just doesn't value that as they should.
