PROS reviews about "pay"

Work life balance is tough. Zero concern for employee development. Management plays favorites. Never say no to a customer, so the entry level employees have to deliver way to much while management looks good for keeping customer.

Lack of communication between the HQ and regional offices. Lack of recognition for employees outside of HQ. Low pay. Change of strategy happens quite often. Very low morale. High employee attrition.

A click-oriented culture with few decision-makers. It takes a very long time to get things done such as agree on customer deal terms, purchase equipment, and make hiring decisions. Employees have little latitude to make decisions. At Facebook and Google you have employees unleashed, and they grow rapidly by "breaking things." At PROS there is an obsession with consensus to the point of analysis paralysis, and the company's growth has lagged more dynamic ones. Building is not in the best part of town, especially at night, though the parking deck is attached to the building.

Not very good at documenting their processes. This makes it difficult to train new people and follow through with improvements. Teams don't communicate well. Many simply don't have a good grasp on where their responsibilities end and begin. Don't like the work area, very noisy. No cubical, just desks facing one another separated by a low shelf.

Job roles can be better defined. Sometimes getting a promotion isn't always easy and people have been known to either switch departments or leave the company altogether after a couple of years. A clear sense of direction may be lacking sometimes in terms of where a project is going, how it needs to be implemented and what the project roadmap is for the future. Pay definitely needs to improve otherwise the really smart employees will definitely be lost.

Too many leaders, they have gotten over-loaded with Vice Presidents.....not enough people doing the work. No work/life balance, pay not competitive, many senior managers operate in silos and not qualified to be leaders.

PROS is a train wreck! They pay well but leadership is the most ineffective I have ever been associated with. They lost the only Enterprise software sale executive, their SVP of Sales because he saw the writing on the wall. Don;t makle your numbers in North America? Change the messaging so you buy time with the investors...not happy with sales results, add hours of internal paperwork to inform executives that have no clue and in fact =, their impact is to ruin, delay or minimize the opportunities they are asked to help. You can't expect "parts pushers" to understand enterprise software sales but I guess buying PROS makes you an expert on selling Pros. N O T Territory's are a mess...Lets get the most inexperienced to choose accounts that have no possibility of success...treat the prospects like idiots, demean their requirements as unimportant and spend hour after hour trying to get resources aligned to the campaign and watch them do it their way anyway and fail over and over
