Pros

Great colleagues and atmosphere. The people do make Pipedrive a better place.

Cons

Support is overworked, specially in Lisbon where there is a need to have agents work 24/7, even though it is not done the same with other offices. Lisbon works holidays, weekends, nightshifts whereas other offices don't. we are completely overworked with lower wages. There is no clear direction with features being added one day and removed the next day with no notice for clients and agents alike. Pipedrive depends on customer facing teams to smooth talk customers into not cancelling over the fact they don't have key features of a normal CRM. Customer facing team's feedback is not taken into account a lot of the times, when it's expressed something is not efficient from a client perspective Management has not evidently taken into account the salaries offered. There was no change from the salary adjustment that was promised.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We are really pleased to hear that you have enjoyed the awesome team spirit here at Pipedrive! However, let us address the concerns you have laid out: 1. Work-life balance: While we aim to provide round-the-clock support in Lisbon to ensure our customers get the help they need when they need it, we are committed to making sure balancing work and personal life is fair for every Pipedriver. Our current customer landscape doesn’t require other locations to work night shifts, and we strive to ensure that those operating this working pattern have the required time off to recharge. We are actively looking at several initiatives to ensure volumes within our front line teams remain stable. 2. Feature changes: We are committed to providing a more stable product direction, and we are continuously working on improving our communication to ensure you are always in the loop. We've also been actively working with the Product team to make sure VoC is embedded into Support’s routines and that as we build an easy and effective product, we always take into account the customer experience. 3. Valuing feedback: We truly appreciate the insights our customer-facing teams bring to the table – your feedback is incredibly valuable. 4. Salary considerations: We apologise if our previous salary adjustments did not meet your expectations. We strive to remain competitive within the market and are actively working with a third party specialist organisation to ensure that compensation is aligned appropriately in our markets. 5. Valuing clients and Pipedrivers: Our mission is all about creating value for our customers and, through that, be ever more successful as a business. We are focused on making our teams’ work and our product more efficient and effective. We are determined to keep that focus on value and keep the atmosphere fun and engaging! We recognise that no business thrives without a great team to bring customer wants and needs to life. We are excited about the road ahead and want you to be part of the journey. Feel free to reach out to your People Partner directly if you’d like to discuss any of these concerns further, as your happiness and well-being are top priorities for us. Thank you again for your feedback!

Pros

-Colleagues - For years, Pipedrive has been been careful during the hiring process. When I was hired there was a poster in the office "no *ssh*les, no b**ches". They stuck by this long after the startup became a huge corporate machine. In the job ad they also had "no corporate b*llsh*t". Sadly once I was hired, the tide turned in my department and over the years I saw huge changes. The startup culture was mostly preserved during massive growth - Collaboration between departments was almost always amazing. Product, internal tooling, engineering, HR, and success teams rarely let me down. There was a ton of support from others, rarely any negative interactions with other employees within the department or outside it. A great sense of community and common drive to something great, even if the focus of where we were heading or what we are striving for was sometimes not present - Benefits such as full dental coverage, insurance, etc were great but didn't outweigh low salaries. Positions are based in Tallinn but didn't reflect the massive increases in cost of living during the period I worked in PD

Cons

-Leadership - During my 3.5 years of tenure there when the company more than doubled in size from around 400 to 1000 employees, the lack of leadership became discouraging and demotivating (mostly middle management level). Global head of support was just awful - the department went from treating employees equally regardless of your position, to focusing only on KPIs, breaking promises about career advancement and unfulfilled or trivial bonuses. -Salary - During my tenure, there were constant complaints about salaries from all levels of employees. Previous CEO didn't deliver on 'substantial bonuses' that were promised. In several of the global meetings, the most common and most upvoted concerns revolved around poor salaries, lack of bonuses or incentives. I joined just after RSUs were no longer offered at my level, so I missed out on a lot of $ and little was offered in the form of benefits - no incentive to put in effort year after year, so of course it made me bitter when others cashed out after several years. Quiet quitting became the norm for many of the staff, not least myself and I'm not ashamed at all because I worked holidays, night shifts, 6am mornings with very little extra to show for it. In short, it was a great lesson but a terrible experience to put in extra effort and miss out on a good work-life balance. - Career opportunities and advancement were promised when I delivered good results, often the top of my department many months in a row, but then team leads/head of support refused to let me transfer departments because they didn't want to lose someone who was really good at their job. After switching to engineering department, a new 'career path' was introduced where I would have to work 5 years in the same position (2 'junior' levels, 1 mid, 2 senior) just to advance in the same department and team. It was just humorous and ridiculous, especially as the scope for my teams was too narrow to justify spending even 3 years at that level. Discussions with team leads and HR amounted to nothing - Promotions within teams were not merit based, not skill based, but primarily focused on seniority. Lots of hidden nepotism and sycophancy (*ss-kissing). Some of the promotions for team leaders that were selected were just humorous and incompetent decisions - people were selected based on office politics and strategy rather than benefiting the company or employees. Huge shame considering the company's roots and strong culture, and pretensions on being transparent.

Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review, it’s great to see you appreciated the growth opportunities and our amazing team. When hiring leaders, we are constantly looking for specific strengths and skill sets, and we don’t hire based on connections to current Pipedrivers. We are sorry to hear that you found the pay below your expectations, as we work hard to provide a strong reward package to motivate our employees. Our culture has evolved over the years, but through our people, we believe we can maintain the Pipedrive culture we love so much. Thanks again for leaving your review!
