Pros

You will learn a tremendous amount working at Quince. Everyone who works at Quince is passionate about what they do and want to see Quince succeed. Beyond impressed by the A+ talented team that is growing Quince to an extremely successful business. Self-starters will thrive at Quince. Good pay and the unlimited PTO is really nice. Working at Quince is highly dependent on your personality. If you thrive on fast-paced data driven decisions you will thrive. If not I would take a second to reevaluate working here.

Cons

People at Quince work hard. They stay longer than 8 hours and sometimes work on the weekends. This is very dependent on the team that you work on and what manager you get. Make sure to ask in your interview about work life balance to your specific manager. However company wide you will be expected to put in a lot of work. If that is not for you then this company is not the best for you. Company is built like a sports team. Every day you are fighting for your spot on the team. A lot of pressure but very rewarding. Like many companies, Quince is here to make a profit. All of their decisions are based off of profitability even if that means putting that decision in front of sustainability or inclusivity.

Pros

Team is awesome and is very accountable to each other. Remote work is part of the culture and trust is table stakes. Very focused and determined on outcomes, results and performance. Growth is insane. Constant focus on growth and scale.

Cons

Scaling challenges are persistent. As soon as one is conquered, another one pops up but thats a good problem in the end. Team works very hard. Remote work creates time zone challenges but it is what it is. You really have to want to BUILD something...not simply be part of it.

Pros

1. Everything I envisioned from a remote role (flexibility/balance) has been realized at Quince. I am challenged, supported, work independently and expectations are communicated clearly. 2. While still plenty of startup challenges to tackle, Quince is unlike other startups I have worked for. While many young companies are too reactionary and constantly operating with their hair on fire, leadership here is focused, strategic and proactive. 3. In terms of my department specifically, I have never worked with a more supportive and knowledgeable group. I chose this offer over others because of my opportunity to learn...I made the right decision.

Cons

1. Communication is a con everywhere I have worked and honestly, Quince is nowhere near the worst. For a company primarily remote-based, there is a good flow of information without the pressure to respond immediately. Yes, we could be better about knowing who to inform and when but no one is intentionally keeping secrets. 2. Culture is more difficult to foster without 3-dimensional interaction (which is non-existent) but you have to make some sacrifices to have the flexibility/balance of remote work. Besides, this is how the world interacts now anyway.
