Great Start Up!

Pros

I have really enjoyed my time at Quince so far! The company is a fast paced, data driven start-up, with a lot of interesting projects and challenges to work on. It is also Remote work first, with competitive pay and compensation packages. I work with really smart, interesting, and driven individual, as well as senior leadership and industry veterans with a lot of experience.

Cons

This company is a start up. There is a lot of ambiguity, and is still working on setting up tools and processes to best manage the business. You have to be a self starter and be comfortable with making decisions with limited data. If you are not comfortable making decisions you will have a difficult time here.

Pros

Quince is a high growth start-up with a clear potential to become market leader. Expectation from the leadership is clear and transparent. Work is challenging but has immense learning opportunities. Flexible working hours and hybrid work culture is an added perk.

Cons

Just like any other start-up, business and delivery processes could take sometime to evolve and even Quince has similar challenges. Ask all relevant questions about the role and the team during interview process before deciding to join the company

Up Front About Company Culture

Pros

The job is fully remote with unlimited PTO, and as long as you work under someone who respects your schedule, these benefits are definitely honored. Everyone is passionate and serious about their job, and it is encouraging to work with such a talented group of professionals. There is a lot of testing, room to help the company grow and learn, and excitement around trying new things. I can't speak for company-wide, but I have received a lot of support from my team and I am confident that I work with coworkers who are dedicated to helping the company grow.

Cons

Everyone is told in the interviews that the culture is fast paced and data-driven, so if you are not looking for a culture like this, then I could see being upset with the work/life balance and frequent involvement from upper management. The company is also very focused on profit before social responsibility (like most businesses are), so if you are wanting to work for an employer that puts sustainability and inclusivity at the forefront, then I would think about that as well.
