Pros

The learning opportunity is excellent if you are ready to work for them. Get a good amount of ownership of the products you work on. Most people are highly driven here which helps you to grow and learn. Remote work. Flexible timings.

Cons

Work-life balance can be a little hard to maintain sometimes.

Pros

The people there are all high-performers, the best at what they do. It was quite the experience working with individuals with such an aptitude and appetite for success.

Cons

On the flip side, CEO & Founder involvement with the day to day is the definition of micromanagement. They purport to value data-driven decisions and then prioritize their subjective reasonings above all else. Why hire people for their skillset and then limit them from using it? CEOs expect you to work on the weekends and past business hours, stating that they work 24/7 so you should too! Meanwhile, they regularly take time off during the middle of the day to take care of their own families and run errands. Overall, there are so many redundancies in the work people do because high-level management has no understanding of the proper responsibilities in each department. I was spending most of my time merchandising and there was no room left for any analytics at the end of the day. Not to mention, their contractors were going months without pay. My second week there, I was already supporting the contractors and made every effort to get them properly compensated. It is my belief that this company's success rides on the low cost of their products, it speaks for itself. Once the hype for the company dies down, or competitors rise from the shadows, Quince is going to have to put in some work to reconfigure their internal structure and address the redundancies in the work. Despite having a huge engineering team (in India), simple platforms integrations were somehow difficult to set up and thus access to data was limited.
