Pros

My colleagues and a couple of my managers were amazing, up to date technologies, interesting challenges.

Cons

- They're forcing all employees back into the offices with the exception of those who are high risk. This decision is mind boggling & dangerous as the number of cases is still pretty high. If you're not considered high risk, you are told to come into the office or resign/be fired. Being concerned about your health is not enough! It goes completely against the values the company preaches so much. They sell you on the culture and values and then make decision like this. - The pace is incredibly fast, and while a fast pace is usually desirable, they've push past the point of it being reasonable. You're expected to jump on your machine at a moment's notice 24/7. The dev team leadership doesn't push back on requests coming from the top. You're expected to build great software, with no regard for work-life balance, and if you don't agree then you're not "RQ material". - When concerns are brought up to the dev leadership, the team is given a vague answer and it always came back to how this was a "great opportunity" and our concerns were pretty much brushed aside. And this happens at every town hall. - Still many more. Just know this, software engineers have been flocking from RQ - and many of those still there would rather be elsewhere.

Pros

Lunch on Fridays. Some great people work there, unfortunately the fantastic people there are either forced out or end up hating it there so much that they leave.

Cons

In an era where companies are hailed for their commitment to employee well-being and fostering a positive work environment, Reliaquest stands out as a glaring exception—a cautionary tale of corporate negligence and disregard for its most valuable asset: its employees. Instead of the promised land of professional growth and fulfillment, it resembles more of a nightmare, where employees are mere cogs in a malfunctioning machine, disposable at the whim of clueless leadership. Let's start with the leadership—or rather, the lack thereof. Instead of providing guidance, support, and inspiration, they remain more worried about social status, only to deliver soul-crushing directives without any semblance of empathy or understanding. But perhaps the most egregious offense perpetrated by Reliaquest is its blatant disregard for the well-being of its employees. Burnout is not just a possibility but an inevitability in this toxic environment, where unrealistic expectations and unreasonable workloads are the order of the day. Mental health? Forget about it. They tout “unlimited PTO” or “hybrid work structure”, but any mention of taking a sick day or working from home is met with thinly veiled skepticism and passive-aggressive comments about dedication and commitment. While most likely denying work from home requests anyways. In conclusion, working at Reliaquest is not just a job—it's a soul-sucking, morale-crushing ordeal that leaves one questioning their worth and sanity. If you value your mental health, professional growth, and overall well-being, run—don't walk—away from this corporate cesspool. Life is too short to waste it in the clutches of a company that sees its employees as nothing more than expendable commodities.

Thank you for the feedback. There certainly are great people who work here, we are selective in who we hire to make sure our people not only have the right technical skills but the right mindset so we can continue to be a high-performance organization. It's disappointing to hear that you did not feel supported. That's not the experience we want for any of our teammates. We invite you to reach out to feedback@reliaquest.com to share more so we can all get a little better.

Pros

You will gain experience in the booming cyber-security industry

Cons

Brian Murphy, the CEO, is a terrible person. His management style of intimidation and fear has infected leadership downstream. This has lead to an organization that really doesn't value employee feedback or a healthy workplace environment. There are many examples of this - just read the other one-star reviews, ignoring the obvious propaganda.
