This is the worst company I worked for. The management is very abusive, especially in the IT department. Run away as fast as you can!

Thank you for your comments. Due to continued growth, SERVPRO’s IT Department has experienced quite a few changes and transformation. We feel key changes were made to IT Leadership, from the CIO through the hiring and promoting of several other employees to key leadership positions. These upgrades to IT leadership facilitated many positive changes to the IT Department over the past the past couple of years. We have expanded the IT Department by over 50 talented IT Professionals to keep up with the Company’s growth. We have delivered on some great projects that have improved the way we do business. We know with some of these projects we had many employees who stepped up and worked hard to produce and deliver projects on time. Yes, a few employees were unable to keep up with the Company’s growth and technological improvements. We recognized the high performers, solicited their feedback, and we improved some of our processes. As a result, we improved work processes, implemented a great work from home program and installed other benefits to improve our work environment and address our employees’ work-life balance needs. We now have a nice mix of new and long-term employees who enjoy the career opportunities that only a growth company can offer its high-performing employees. SERVPRO is offering tremendous opportunities to IT professionals who love a challenge and work on great technologies like Mobile, Web-based and Cloud technologies.

Stable work, little opportunity for advancement

Pros

Good benefits, decent pay, most of my coworkers were extremely likeable and hardworking. One of the better employers in the Sumner/Macon County area, in my opinion.

Cons

When I was hired, I was told there would be ample opportunity for promotion and advancement. Despite 6 years of above-average or excellent performance evaluations, I was blown off whenever I broached the subject. Also, executive management uses religious rhetoric in a pretty ham-handed effort to manipulate employees--very crass.

Pros

Flexible with my school schedule. Upper management gave really interesting seminars that were helpful to the company.

Cons

Small office with big drama. At the franchise I was located at, a lot of stress stemmed from upper management which manifested throughout the entire office. This often exuded a negative effect on majority of the employees. Ultimately, it was an uneasy work environment to be apart of (and I was only working as a part time admin). The management was also very manipulative and would often try turning other employees against each other by spreading nasty gossip and rumors. Again, this was only apparent at the franchise I was working at - the environment might have been different if I were at another location with different management.
