      Not great, just okay due to poor management and cattiness.

      Pros

      Good 401k, good health benefits, convenient work hours/location. Pay is okay, could be a lot better. Great cultural diversity.

      Cons

      Poor management in some Departments. Lots of micromanagement. People step on each other to get to the top. All about metrics, (when you think you've had a productive day/week; they say it's not enough). People have too many attitudes, too much cattiness and jealousy. Training is trash. You basically get thrown to the wolves in the Engagement center department. Too many meetings. Contracted pharmacies act as if the Shields employees are their enemies instead of a unit that's on the same team to care for the customers.

      Pros

      Only good thing about this job is being a stepping stone to getting another job. It gets your foot in the door for corporate Healthcare positions.

      Cons

      -They seriously abuse Salary. EXPECT 70 HR WORK WEEKS MIN -I saw the best workers get passed up for promotions while the most incompetent get promoted -You will immediately make 10-20k more leaving to a similar position elsewhere once you got your foot in the door. Staying will leave you with insulting pay raises. -They state they hire empathy only for a reason. Empatha do not set boundaries. It is literally just preying on them with culture of kindness BS facade -They will keep telling you to apply onward but then deny you (a technique to keep your hopes to make you stay instead of looking somewhere better) -As said, I instantly made 20k more after leaving. People quit like wildfire here bc they pull you in with false promises.

      Pros

      Shields is a rapidly growing healthcare company that is improving care for patients by integrating pharmacy solutions into hospital systems. Every employee here is thoughtful and engaging. It is a unique open work environment where management engages with every employee to find solutions to complex problems in the healthcare system. Even better, Jack Shield, Founder & CEO, is a true force of nature. His energy and positive attitude is powerful and he loves building effective teams. He has spent the past 30 years building businesses across several healthcare verticals, so there is an incredible opportunity to learn from his experience.

      Cons

      Since the Company is a rapidly growing startup, the structure is constantly evolving. Although not a con, most everyone will be asked to step into new roles and help fill gaps as needed. Good problems to have!
