Pros

Getting to work from home is pretty much the only pro You do accrue decent PTO . . . good luck using it though

Cons

-No raises in years -Different answers from every supervisor -Constantly changing schedules with no real say which one you get -Most of the actual technical work is done in India so North American workers are left to deal with most of the mundane customer service work with irate customers -Constant policy changes, sometimes with no notice until days after the fact -Get harassed if you actually try to use your PTO -No paid holidays -Hard to move up -Have to fight to actually have your accomplishments put into your review -Get punished by management if you bring any problems to their attention

Pros

I can't think of any at this time.

Cons

-Want a raise for your hard effort? Some employees received a 25 cent raise that were there for several years and others have received nothing. Don't ever expect to see a raise! -Like people? Work from home seems great, but it is depressing after a few years of being alone in a room by yourself everyday talking to pissed off customers. -Hate to volunteer? No worries: The company went from having you volunteer to new tenants to just moving you at their whim. Yes it makes a big difference what tenant your work for. In call centers you just don't work for multiple tenants. You work for 1 maybe 2. Here, they'll have you work for several and with little to no notice and no increase in pay. -Benefits? The benefits are subpar, everyone raves about them, but honestly not that great. I never accepted them and would go with another provider at a better rate. -401K? Nice, but expect the company not to put anything towards that, it's all on you! -Want to move up? Look elsewhere. This is not the place to build a standing career up the management ladder. Once your in a position, you'll be stuck there. You're stagnant. -Moral? Low, people were always complaining about the environment because we all knew that Corporate management was very set apart from the work from home force. It's true. Doesn't matter how hard the call center managers work, at the end of the day decisions come from corporate and they don't know who their work force is. -Sales staff & technical staff? Yup they laid sales teams and some technical teams off and didn't give them much notice. How sad as the company said it would never ever outsource any of its sales or technical positions. They outsourced many of them all right. Not all technical agents are located in the US anymore. -Profitability? I loved this one!!!! Company execs especially CEO would push out videos saying how the company was not profitable and was still losing tons of cash. This was not true. Matter of fact, the company kept hiring more and more employees and much lower starting salaries than many other people were hired on at. Mind you, exec salaries have risen in the past few years but employee salaries have not. If the company can afford to hire additional technical reps, buy smaller companies, raise their own exec salaries, do you actually think they are bleeding cash? -Like to chat with co-workers? Better be careful. All chats are monitored by call center managers. Even in your own team rooms. They want to make sure you don't start any talk about.....unionization....! Yes that is the key work, union. The company is afraid of this happening due to the large work force now. Out of your team rooms in the larger rooms where everyone is, you can joke sometimes but then other times they shut you down. Basically, you are not free to speak as if you were in a brick and mortar building with other co-workers. -Prizes? Company offers these raffles for: perfect attendance, best stats and team performance. The problem is that none of these are fair in any capacity. How are you going to pit over 200 people in one tenant for top 3 prizes in any category? People with the best stats are always going to have those stats by nature, they will always win. Perfect attendance is not fair because sometimes people have technical issues not caused by them but they lose out on perfect attendance drawing. Doesn't matter either way, how can you compete with few prizes with 200 people? -Metrics?? Huge push for metrics. You are told that you have to have the best stats and you need to be under a certain time for services and call time. Is there something I get for this like maybe a bonus... a smile... a thank you? Nope, you get nothing. You work your tail off for nothing. Seriously... don't let them think that it's for something because it's for nothing. -Modem or computer problems?? Sorry Charlie... you're out of luck. You have to use your own PTO if your computer dies or modem issues. Overall: I worked there for a long time! I saw people in and out. I saw people work their absolute tails off for this place and never received anything for that. Yes, you should receive something for working your life away at a place you believe in. It was so sad to see many people go as I built relationships with some of them. It was all due to corporate greed. Corporate and upper call center managers will tell you its for the good of the company. Sad also as some of the reviews here are by HR. They are canned. Best advice is to find another place and jump start your career somewhere else. It won't be long before PCs and Macs will drastically change to the point where remote service delivery is not something you do anymore. The platforms are changing and we see this everyday. This is a model that may work for now, but in about 10 years will probably not be standing!

Pros

Work from Home! The biggest problem I had was going down stairs to get some coffee. Good pay and chances for overtime. There are also opportunity's for getting off early if you want to. Benefits include 10 paid days off and 7 floating holiday's.

Cons

Policies change, you have to stay on top of them. Some policies make no sense, but just do as they say and you'll be fine. Since this is a work from home job you can't have background noise. To prevent any noise problems I created my own command center in a good sized closet.
