Pros

- Work from home - Decent pay rate ($13.50/hr) - Benefits

Cons

Support.com outsourced the Solutions Engineer positions. So basically, your only chance of getting hired if you're in America now is either as a Business Technology Expert or a Retail Service Technician. SDC already has a full staff of BSTs, so they aren't hiring anyone for that position, and RSTs only make $10.25/hr. Do not work for this company. It's going nowhere and will not look impressive on a resume.

Cons

Mandatory overtime when call volume is consistently high. Nearly all interaction with coworkers and supervisors is through chat and email. Voice interaction with coworkers and supervisors is very rare. Interaction with Management is nonexistent. Policies can change week to week. Lack of clear communication from management. No raises for this position. The only way your pay will ever increase is if you get promoted. Position can be very stressful at times.

Pros

You do get to work from home, and the paychecks haven't bounced. Yet.

Cons

I've had 13 supervisors in 11 months, and that isn't unusual. They laid off 200+ people on 12/30/13 after lying to them for months, saying that their jobs were absolutely safe. They demoted me and the rest of my department, cutting our pay by about 30%, totally changing our job duties and drastically changing our hours.
