(below) This is one of those companies that ostensibly offers "unlimited" paid vacation and sick days. The problem with this plan is that you have to be constantly taking advantage of it for it to be worthwhile. In normal companies, you would be paid for the balance of your PTO not taken when you leave or are fired; so you effectively "get" all the vacation you're owed one way or another. Here, you're not "owed" anything, and if you take very little PTO, it's considered to be your choice. Unfortunately, however, management sets up obstacles to taking vacations, making it very difficult to take more than a few days off at a time. Additionally, the culture of the company doesn't look favorably upon people who take multiple vacations in a year. The result is that you end up with much less time off than you would get if you worked for a company with a standard PTO plan.
