Pros

-Management actually fights to assign attainable quotas. While I have been here, I've actually seen quotas lowered in quarter. -Management team has extensive industry knowledge and closing experience. I have had to lean on RSMs and VPs in order to close business in quarter; they are always there to help. -Engaging and interesting on a day to day basis- from working/closing several opportunities each quarter, to traveling for meetings/conferences- you will grow as a person and professional. -Solutions Engineers are extremely capable and have a sales background. From internal enablement to the most technical prospect, they will have your back. This dynamic makes the life of TSE that much easier. -Sales reps are some of the most important people in the company. Your daily effort has a real impact on the bottom line. -A proven product in the SMB market and just launched Axcient Fusion for mid-market/enterprise customers. Fusion provides a huge opportunity for sales reps to earn great commission checks as average deal size has increased approximately 5x.

Cons

-Relatively competitive market for Axcient's SMB offering. -Sometimes a grind, on average 30%-40% of TSE's attain quota. -Austin office is separated from HQ in Mountain View- this sometimes makes interaction with other internal LOBs difficult.

Behind the Curve

Pros

The workplace culture is great - diversity, dog-friendly, family-oriented. Catered lunched come twice a week, unlimited PTO, and various other perks contribute to the startup-culture feel and scooter-filled environment. If you've got the right drive and work ethic, even younger employees have great career opportunities moving up the chain here. Broad experience is thrown at you every day

Cons

You will work harder than you ever have before, for less pay and little to no management recognition. A few years ago the company seemed poised for huge growth, but several missteps since then have caused the future of the company to get cloudy. The product is far behind the curve now and needs to catch up in a big way, and recent product offerings have fallen flat in performance and stability. Management in my area was grossly incompetent, doing much more harm than good (who am I kidding - I didn't see management do any good) when trying to cover their mistakes and lack of really doing anything. Basically seems like they want to just coast by with the title and expend more effort avoiding work than actually doing work. How do you expect a team to run when the management shows up from 10am-2pm only? VPs have no real power.
