Pros
- Portland office employees (for the most part) are pretty cool - Snacks/meals - Decent coffee
Cons
- Benefits package is trash - If you're a woman you will not be paid what the men with your title are making - Raises are a joke across the board, the only way to get a decent raise is to get "promoted" and then HR will say "we can't go above x% because it is policy" ... as a privately held company, who are you trying to impress? We also know this isn't actually the truth because people have gotten insane raises when they had competing offers or if they were beloved by their director - HIGH turn over - If certain teams don't like you they will actively sabotage you (like removing you from meeting invites and making sure you never get added back despite repeated requests) and make sure things don't get pushed through, even if it harms them. - Very few opportunities to move up and if they do move you up and promote you HR will work out ways to not actually increase your wages per your contract (you will get 1/2 of your pay increase for the rest of the year, and then your full pay increase next year)
