Pros

Appears to have ‘family’ environment. Location of HQ is in Fort Worth Benefits are good. ESOP is good

Cons

Family environment over-rated. Feels that you must be in the office to get work done and be productive. Several issues with EEOC. While they have women in Exec positions…it a facade. Information Technology and security is now run by men who are intimidated by strong women.

Pros

There is the possibility stay with the company if you relocate; there are jobs available remotely and in office. The things I've learned are transferable to new positions.

Cons

On the job training is frustrating, I can only learn something if the situation arises. Each office is different so there is no consistency if you move to a new location. My personal experience in my specific office, I was underpaid; I made the lowest wage compared to everyone on this site.

Encouraging feedback and constructive criticism is part of that commitment. Your comment on compensation is an important one. We offer competitive pay and benefits to employees in our Home Office in Fort Worth, Texas. Local Advisors are responsible for the pay and benefits they offer to their office managers and other support staff professionals in our local offices. In all cases our goal is to attract the best people and reward them for committed service. First Command maintains an open-door policy, and we encourage employees to discuss business-related problems with their supervisors or management. Employee surveys and Glassdoor reviews provide us critical insights, so thank you for taking time to share your perspective.

Pros

The people are wonderful. The mission is powerful and worthwhile. Great campus. Employee owned which is awesome.

Cons

Same as a lot of companies right now, there’s a lot of change. Been on an agile transformation journey for a few years but old habits of deadlines, even when not compliance driven are still pushed.
