Pros

I recently started working in this company and it has been very family and military friendly for my situation. When I started we operated 100% remotely due to Covid-19, and early March they established a Hybrid policy for the Head Quarters in Fort Worth. My section now operates 60% remote and 40% in office. This helps with better team collaboration and comradery that you cannot get from just video calls. If my family gets sick or if I get sick the hybrid schedule can work as 100% remote as needed. This lets me still work while not being able to go into the office. Also, I separated from active duty and transitioned to the National Guard. When I joined they recently changed the paid military leave to 8 weeks. So if I get tasked to go on active duty orders for up to 8 weeks, the company will still pay me while I am tasked to go active duty for any type of state emergency.

Cons

I do not have any Cons at this moment.

Thank you for sharing your positive feedback with us. At First Command, we are committed to creating and sustaining a supportive culture that inspires our employees and makes them feel appreciated, informed and part of the First Command family. The mission of our company is incredibly important to our employees. They tell us that one of the most compelling elements of this career is the opportunity to serve military personnel and their families in a meaningful way. As part of our commitment to our employees, we’ve implemented a new flexible, hybrid work environment which reflects a meaningful balance of in-office experiences with work that can be done virtually. The results of our recent employee experience surveys underscore the value of face-to-face interactions, which allow us to develop deeper relationships and pursue greater creativity and innovation.
