Faboulus Culture!

Pros

After retiring from the Army, I was nervous that I would be unable to find the same culture and feel as the Military. First Command has similar values, culture, and work ethic. I am extremely proud to work for First Command.

Cons

As a Financial Advisor, you are a small business owner. This comes with unlimited opportunities, but also the opportunity to fail!

Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences as a First Command Financial Advisor. The mission of the company is incredibly important to our Advisors. They tell us that one of the most compelling elements of this career is the opportunity to serve military personnel and their families in a meaningful way. Four out of five First Command Financial Advisors come from the ranks of veterans and military spouses. For these Advisors, the career is about serving those who serve through quality, face-to-face financial coaching. Our Advisors go through an extensive training program designed to equip them to succeed as independent contractors. They learn how to coach our clients to become financially disciplined and confident in their pursuit of financial security. We appreciate your feedback and thank you for taking the time to share your experience.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. I'm sorry to hear about your negative experience. As an employee-owned company, First Command is committed to creating and sustaining a culture that inspires and rewards our employees and makes them feel appreciated. Employees are invited to share their experiences so we can address any shortcomings and bring positive change to the organization. First Command maintains an open-door policy, and we encourage employees to communicate problems to their supervisors or management. Additionally, we focus on providing our employees with opportunities for professional growth, and we reward them through an attractive compensation and benefits program. We offer competitive pay determined by third-party studies of employers in our market area. Another valuable financial benefit is the Employee Stock Ownership Program, which is available to all qualified employees and funded entirely by company contributions.
