Pros

Amazing company to work for!

Cons

Hybrid work with mandatory two days in the office per week. No ability to work full time remote. This is honestly the only "con" about this company. If you are hoping for full time remote opportunity, you won't find it here unfortunately. Hopefully that will change in the future.

Pros

If you want a job that is and emotionally rewarding and fulfilling and at the same time financially rewarding to your family, this is it. I retired from the Air Force not knowing what to do and my advisor talked to me about the opportunity to work for First Command. I was hesitant at first because that was outside of my area of expertise. He told me the number one criteria to hire a financial advisor is the innate desire to help people. I took a chance and I am so, so glad I did.

Cons

The cons of this job are the instances where someone you’re coaching is not receptive to help. I imagine, much like a fitness coach or personal trainer, not all of their clients really put in all the effort. But for those who do, the results are amazing.
